A spring compressor is used for mounting and unmounting chassis springs to or from the front or rear axle. But it can also be used for car tuning purposes, namely for lowering down a vehicle.The XPOtool spring compressor set contains two spring compressors, each of which consists of a threaded spindle made of C45 carbon steel and two pierced clamping heads. The tighteners or stretchers can be screwed with a ratchet, wrench, spanner, or impact wrench (not included in the scope of delivery). The 4 claws of the clamping jaws provide for an optimum hold and prevent the spring from slipping or gliding off.The spindles of the spring compressors are 340 mm (approx. 13²⁄₅″) long each, and, together with the square drive of ½″ found on both sides, 370 mm (14.6″) long each.
