20-24L Membrane Pressure Tank Vessel for Domestic Waterworks BUTYL

The replacement membrane for most of the conventional 20–24-litre pressure vessels, for use in sanitary cold-/hot water systems, domestic waterworks, solar- and pressure maintenance systems, and garden pumps. The membrane is made of butyl rubber, and therefore suitable for drinking water.Butyl rubber:This rubber belongs to the group of elastomers. This synthetic material is characterised by resistance to hot air, weathering, and ozone. The elastomer shows low gas permeability, good resistance to chemicals as well as up to 100 °C very good noise and shock energy absorption qualities. In the low temperature range, the butyl rubber remains elastic up to −70 °C. It is mainly used for air hoses and inner cores of tyres, bladders, steam hoses, and linings for tanks. Further fields of application are foils, membranes, unvulcanised sealants, and bands.Butyl rubber is also referred to as IIR (isobutene-isoprene rubber).
